Banks and currency exchange:

The currency is the Iranian Rials. Foreign currency (normally EURO and US Dollar) can be exchanged at the airport or the front desk of your hotel. Local banks are open from 07:30 to 15:00 from Saturday to Wednesday and from 07:30 to 12:00 on Thursday. There are also private foreign exchange offices throughout the city that operate between 09.00 to 17.00 hrs.

Credit Cards:

Please note that credit cards are NOT accepted in Iran. You may arrange for cash payment during shopping or any small business activity.


Normally in November, temperature in Tehran is between 08 to 20 degrees of Celsius. The month of November in Tehran experiences essentially constant cloud cover, with the percentage of time that the sky is overcast or mostly cloudy.  Therefore, if you are planning a trip to Tehran in November, rain coat is highly recommended. More accurate weather predicts will be available on conference website, one week prior to conference.


The standard voltage is 220 V. The standard frequency is 50 Hz. The power sockets that are used are type C / F containing 2 pins. You can use your electrical appliances in Iran if the standard voltage in your country is between 220–240 Volts.


The official national language of Iran is Persian, spoken by almost all people in Iran. English is the official language for ANGVA 2017.
